Dr. Ana de las Heras, Project Manager at Bionaturis Group, attended the “Forum for the Public-Private Collaboration in Animal Health for Aquaculture”, that gathered more than 60 experts of the sector in Madrid. The workshop was organized by the Spanish Technology Platform for Animal Health, Vet+i,  and the Spanish Technology for Fishing and Aquaculture (PTEPA).

The promotion and the strengthening to approach public and private research institutions, technological centers and companies of the sector was the main objective of the event, that created a collaboration framework that has contributed to the networking  and the exchange of information to develop R&D activities.

The meeting showcased details of the Multiannual Strategic Programme for Spanish Aquaculture 2014-2010, as well as the current availability of medicines for the industry and the projects of several companies and research centers. As a novelty in this workshop, they celebrated up to 24 meetings B2B (Business to Business) between attendees.

This forum pursues one of the goals of the ‘Strategic Plan 2020’: contributing to the development of innovative medicines, promoting R&D devoted to the requirements and the new opportunities in the market of animal health. Aquaculture is one of the fields of activity of Bionaturis Group, having in development several products for unmet needs and taking part actively in the European Consortium Targetfish, among other things.
